I learned Classical Violin in the 5^th Grade, 1963, and played in a variety of Public School quartets and orchestras till graduating from High School.  10 years later I discovered the music I love to this day – Old Time and Celtic Dance tunes – in the home and at the hand of Yigal Zan.  I play far more than my share of local dances; Irish Set, Contra, English Country, and even a little Scottish Country. 
 

My teaching style is playful, supportive, and friendly.  I especially enjoy helping well motivated but struggling students.  I have no experience starting the very young but will happily work with all other ages and all other levels of students.  I am quite flexible and will work in your home or mine.
